This project is intended to provide first aid coverage at Citadella in Gozo. According to the MTA, it is estimated that over 1 million tourists visit the Citadella each year, being the most visited place in Gozo .
The project sought the creation an AED station at the Citadella, that will be accessible to the general public. This could be a life saver in case of sudden cardiac arrest.
The main outputs of the project are:
• Purchase of AED and ancillary equipment
• Training of staff at Citadella
• Installation of AED station – the first public access defibrillator on the island
