This project was intended to provide first aid coverage at Dwejra in Gozo. According to the MTA, it is estimated that 723,727 tourists visited Dwejra in 2015, the second most visited place in Gozo after the Citadella.
A first aid team was stationed in Dwejra . This prevented unnecessary responses from the emergency medical services in Gozo, and at the same reduced the response time of medical aid. The following objectives were achieved:
Objective 1: The ERRC provided a fully equipped first response vehicle as well as two trained personnel in emergency care.
Objective 2: Current ERRC volunteers and new volunteers were recruited for the project. Volunteers were trained in various courses of pre-hospital care
Objective 3: Procurement of a rapid response vehicle and emergency medical equipment necessary to cover the service.
